My “Add Nutrient” light doesn’t seem to be working.

 
The “Add Nutrient” light is actually a simple two-week timer that is designed to come on exactly two weeks after the Reset button is pressed. Every time you press the Reset button, the AeroGarden thinks you are adding nutrients and will reset the “Add Nutrient” timing for another two weeks. The Reset button governs the “Add Nutrient” light, not the “Water Level Low” light.

 

This can be confusing, however, because in one specific instance the Reset button does clear the “Water Level Low” light. Since the water needs to be full when you add nutrients (to prevent the nutrient solution from becoming too strong), the “Water Level Low” light comes on automatically at the same time as the “Add Nutrient” light (regardless of actual water level), to prompt you check the water level. When both these lights come on at the same time, the Reset button clears them both.

 

If your “Add Nutrient” light is not coming on at two-week intervals and you are absolutely certain that no one has pressed the Reset button, the next step is to run the AeroGarden through a diagnostic procedure to make sure that the panel light itself is working.

 

To run the diagnostic test, press and hold the Select button for about 6 seconds and then release it. This will start a cycle during which the panel lights should all light up one by one in sequence, and the grow lights should go off and then back on. The Pump should also run.

 

If you discover that the "Add Nutrient" light does come on for a moment during this test, then the light itself is working and has been inadvertenly reset.

To get the Reset button back in synch with when your nutrients are actually due, you will need to determine the calendar date when you last added nutrients. If you don't remember, look back to the planting date that you wrote on your Tending and Harvesting Guide when you planted your Seed Kit. and count forward in two-week increments from the initial planting date. When the next feeding is due, add your two nutrient tablets, fill the Bowl to the "Fill to Here" mark, and press the “Reset” button (even if it's not blinking). This will resynchronize your “Add Nutrient” light with the time that the nutrients are actually due.
