My "Water Level Low" light never comes on.

6 and 7-Pod AeroGardens (except Space•Saver 6)

The way your 6- or 7-Pod AeroGarden knows when the Bowl is low on water is by means of a little float inside the tube that says "Fill to Here" that floats up and down with the water level and magnetically trips a sensor when the water is low. Occasionally this float will get hung up on the side of the tube, and if this happens the “Water Level Low” light will not come on, even when the water is low.

To free the float, either tap on the side of the “Fill to Here” tube, or open up a paper clip and insert it into the hole at the top of the “Fill to Here” tube to push the float back down. (Don’t worry, there is nothing electrical inside the tube).

It may also be helpful to know that the water level has to be quite low before the light will come on.

Space•Saver 6
If the mechanical water level indicator seems to be stuck in either the red or green position and is no longer accurately indicating when the water is low, chances are that plant roots have grown into the mechanism, jamming it. If this has occurred, you may either remove the roots from inside the indicator, or just keep a watchful eye on the water level and be sure to refill frequently.
